WARNING
Head lice infestation often creates an itchy scalp that may create skin sensitivity to essential oils. Always patch test the skin prior to application to assess sensitivity to the product. If sensitivity does occur, rinse immediately with warm water and pour cool milk liberally over the affected area to soothe the skin.
Avoid eye contact. If contact does occur, flush eyes with cool water until irritation subsides. If irritation occurs after following the sensitive skin remedies described, discontinue use. Do not use on children under three years old without medical advice. Pregnant mothers should always seek medical advice before using essential oil treatments. Use only as directed. For external use only.

PATCH TEST
Whether there is any pre-known sensitivity to any essential oils or not, a patch test should be trialed prior to the application of eco.kid Lice Bomb. Essential oils are generally considered safe for human skin at the levels used in our products, however, there is always a possibility that some individuals may find that one or more of the complex phyto-chemicals in natural plant essences act as an irritant to their skin. If the skin shows signs of redness, itching or stinging during or immediately after the patch test, please avoid further application. To soothe any irritation, the scalp may be bathed in cool milk to relieve the symptoms.

To administer a patch test follow these instructions
Find a small patch of skin behind the ear and apply a small quantity of the product to be tested. Observe the patch for redness or irritation within the first few minutes. If no adverse signs are observed this will generally indicate that no sensitivity exists. For further reassurance you may choose to leave the product on the test patch of skin for 20 minutes. Wipe clean the patch test product after a time and make further observations as to the sensitivity of the skin.

USE ON SENSITIVE SKIN
To use this product on sensitive skin, mix 50% Lice Bomb Botanical Complex with 50% Vegetable Oil. Repeat the patch test procedure described above and continue to dilute oils as described if sensitivity persists. eco.kid Lice Bomb can be effective at highly diluted levels.
If irritation persists at a diluted level of 5:1 (vegetable oil to Lice Bomb)
then we do not recommend using Lice Bomb.
Use eco.kid Nit Ninja Daily Defence Shampoo, Nit Ninja Daily Defence Conditioner and eco.kid leave-in conditioners and styling products to help make hair unattractive to head lice.

HOW TO USE
[1] Part dry hair and apply a small amount of the Lice Bomb to the scalp beginning at the nape and behind the ears. Massage Lice Bomb through the roots of the hair in an upwards motion moving towards the crown, then towards the forehead. Apply small droplets of Lice Bomb as required to enable thorough coverage of the scalp. Pay careful attention not to get Lice Bomb into the eyes as this will cause stinging (flush thoroughly with cool water if eye contact does occur).

[2] Once a thin film has been achieved on the entire scalp use the lice comb enclosed and begin to comb the hair from roots to ends. This will ensure that any head lice trying to escape the solution by travelling up the hair shaft will be removed from the hair.

[3] Wipe head lice and eggs from the fine toothed comb on a tissue as you proceed through the hair. Leave Lice Bomb on the hair for up ten to minutes. Repeat the combing procedure at regular intervals throughout this time.

[4] Use your fingernail to remove visible eggs on the hair then rinse the hair using warm water.

[5] Lightly shampoo with Nit Ninja Daily Defence Shampoo, Nit Ninja Daily Defence Conditioner  to cleanse off eco.kid Lice Bomb Botanical Complex.

[6] Repeat the above procedure after approximately one week to ensure maximum effectiveness.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Never use Water-based product to remove headlice eggs.

Schools often send notes home instructing parents to comb the hair with conditioner to inspect for headlice. Although well meaning, this advice is not as helpful as it is intended to be.

Water-based product will swell human hair 15% within 2 minutes making the lice eggs more difficult to remove.

Oil-based products will not swell the hairshaft and are transparent making it much easier to identify the live lice and much easier to remove lice and thier nit eggs from the hair.

ONLY THE BEST

Oil-based Are the Best Headlice Treatments

Oil-based Headlice combing solution and headlice treatments are the best choice for detecting and eradicating headlice.

Any oil will suffocate the live lice and the oil will help support the easy release of the lice nit eggs.

TOUGH TO REMOVE

Why are nit eggs so tough to remove

The nit eggs are glued to the hairsaft by a liquid chitisan. Chitisan is the same natural material as the shell of a beetle, so once it dries and hardens it forms a permanent casing around the hair fibre.

Only sliding the casing up the hairshaft will allow it to be removed.

Nit Ninja Nit Picker Pre-Shampoo Combing Oil is formulated to penetrate beneath the tough shell structure and lubricate the hair fibre to allow for effortless removal of the egg.
